KALTSIDIS was established in 1975 by Mr. Lazaros Kaltsidis and Mr. Michalis Chalvatzoglou, in Thessaloniki Greece. Mr. Kaltsidis began his career in 1960 and through his deep knowledge and innovative skills on the Forestry-Log-Veneer area he became a pioneer on the veneer sector. He was the first person on the Balkan region who produced Veneered Panels as a Production manager of the Balkan Export Industry back at 1965.

On its first steps the company’s mission was to trade Veneers, Timber, Veneered Panels, MDF, Chipboard, Block board, Plywood and Flooring. KALTSIDIS became synonymous for collaborating with the most influential wood companies globally until early 1990 ’s when the company returned to its roots and focused on wood veneer as the focal product.

In 1996 the second generation of the family Ioannis Kaltsidis & Vicky Kaltsidou joined the business bringing new innovative ideas and a business plan to invest on the production of veneered boards and veneers as the company’s main business concept. By the year 2002 the new industrial plant was a reality with fully equipped, technologically advanced production unit, which helped the company to become the leader for veneers and veneered boards in South East European region and beyond. Later on, in 2013, Mr. Christos Chalvatzoglou joined the company as a successor of his father.

From that point onwards the company became a synonymous to quality veneers and innovative, ecological veneered products. Today, Kaltsidis is based on skilled human resources, management systems and processes, that leads to excellence in customer service and competitiveness.
